We will be holding our annual Agility Trials at a new location this year. They will be held in Rohnert Park at the Spreckles Community Center (also known as the Spreckles Performing Arts Center) on three consecutive days in August (August 11-13). Those wishing to enter this event can download the 2017 Agility Premium or go to the website of our Trial Secretary, Lynda Tjarks to enter on line. Entries close Jul 26 at 11:59 PM.
Agility is a fun performance event for all dogs, both purebreds and mixed breeds. The handler must successfully guide their dog through a course of obstacles including jumps, tunnels, the dog walk, the A-frame, and a teeter. The dog must walk across the teeter and tip it to cross. Weave poles are another obstacle that the dog must slalom through starting with the first pole on the dog’s left shoulder, not an easy thing to teach a dog!! On top of making it through all of the obstacles cleanly, the event is timed.
Please come watch the trial but do leave your dogs at home as only dogs entered at the event can be on the show grounds. http://www.lyndatjarksagility.com/modules/agilitySec/files//premium/9291.pdf
